Forgotten farm structures of the Dairy Farm Co., Ltd. called “Mains of Pokfulam" - a Scottish word meaning home farm. The company was formed by Sir Patrick Manson and five financiers including Sir Paul Chater in 1886. At its peak there were around 50 cowsheds on 300 acres of farmlands. Nowadays the company is a giant retailer with many household names in Hong Kong such as Wellcome, Mannings, Maxim's and the franchises of 7-Eleven and IKEA. The farm closed in the 1970s and many parts of it became the housing estates of Wah Fu and Chi Fu Fa Yuen but there are still decaying cattle sheds, piggeries, manure pits, paddocks and stream crossings on the peripheries.
